Anupama 5th January 2026 Written Update: Bharti Starts a New Life

Rahi says emotionally that although mothers never abandon their children, daughters may occasionally do so. Bharti expresses gratitude to everyone for their unwavering love and trust. She claims that since Anupama is present, nothing can go wrong, so she can now leave the chawl worry-free.

Anupama counsels Bharti to prioritize her own happiness while ensuring the happiness of everyone in her new home. She reminds her that being someone's wife or daughter-in-law does not define a woman's identity. While meeting the expectations of others, she advises Bharti to never forget her dreams. Anupama advises Bharti to speak up if she ever senses a problem. She begs Varun to have total faith in Bharti, tell her everything, and support her no matter what. She puts Bharti's hand in Varun's and begs him to love her, keep her safe, and never allow her to cry.

Anupama asks Rajini to treat Bharti like her own daughter and congratulates her. Rajini pledges to do her best even though she acknowledges that she might never become a mother like Anupama.

Varun is not evil at heart, but he is easily swayed, Prerna says, giving Bharti a hug. She recommends that Bharti and Varun live apart in order to promote peace. Everyone is taken aback until Varun steps in and Prerna clarifies that she was just kidding.

Prerna is asked by Bharti if she will accompany them. In response, Prerna says she will arrive later. Anupama asks Rahi to bring the plate and starts the bidaai ritual. When Rahi recalls how much she hurt Anupama in the past, she starts to cry. Reminding her of the agony of witnessing someone treat their mother disrespectfully, Prem reassures her.

Rahi sobs as she acknowledges that Anupama only showed love and that she suffered in return. She claims that during the bidaai today, she is more afraid than she ever was when she fled. When Anupama hears what is being said, she gets upset and gives Rahi a hug.

Prerna has a house, but Rajini asks why she wants to stay in a hotel. In response, Prerna says that remaining in the chawl will enable her to determine whether Rajini's pledge to keep the chawl safe is genuine or merely verbal. She continues by saying that she feels imprisoned in Rajini's home.

Later, Anupama tells Rahi that daughters are resilient and able to construct new homes. Rahi wishes she could go back in time and laments not realizing her mother's worth sooner. Prem is commended by Anupama for supporting Rahi.

Observing the relationship between Anupama, Rahi, and Prem, Rajini and Prerna comment that not every mother is like Anupama, just as not every daughter is like Rahi.

When Bharti starts crying during the bidaai, Anupama stops everyone and tells them that Bharti should be sent off with smiles rather than tears because she is beginning a new life. To commemorate Bharti's fresh start, everyone dances.

Rajini believes that she has given her daughter the most significant gift—the chawl paper—instead of a dowry. When Bharti departs and Anupama sees that the lights are still flickering, she becomes upset. She reminds herself not to be pessimistic.

Rajini thinks Anupama might have to pay a high price for her goodness, but she is relieved that the documents have been signed.

Preet is terribly missing Bharti. A person's worth is frequently only recognized after they depart, according to Prerna. Instead of going back to her own house or the hotel, she asks if she can stay in the house. Preet lets her.

When Anupama hears this, she demands that Prerna return home. Anupama eventually lets Prerna stay after she refuses to ask Rajini for permission. Rahi is taken aback. Anupama clarifies that Rajini would perceive her as being unjust if she had declined. Rahi worries that Prerna's actions toward Rajini must have a purpose. Anupama says she will speak later because she is tired.
