Anupama breaks down in tears and commends Sarita for her efforts. She also compliments the residents of the chawl. Sarita is asked to purchase a small ornament by Anupama. Anita and Sarita decide to purchase a ring for Bharti. Sarita is then questioned by Anupama about why she traveled so far to purchase gold when there are numerous stores close by. A chawl lady explains that they went because they were familiar with the store and it didn't charge for making purchases.

Sarita thanks Anupama for having faith in her. Sarita is not a thief, according to Anupama, since she could have taken more jewelry if she had wanted to, but only one necklace vanished. Sarita comments on the thief's intelligence.

Anupama later confronts the jewelry store owner after spotting the identical necklace there. Anupama is informed by the shopkeeper that the necklace was sold by a girl who claimed her grandmother was ill. Anupama discovers the truth when she shows the shopkeeper a picture of Ishani.
